All Purpose Coffee Rub

all purpose coffee rub

Summer’s just around the corner so here’s a recipe for an All Purpose Coffee rub using, well, Dead Sled of course.

Hey everyone, Mike T here. One of my favorite things to do during the summer is enjoy a nice sunny afternoon cooking out on a grill. And what do I put on my grill? Meat. Lots of it. However, this rub is an all purpose coffee rub so you could use it on grilled veggie dishes as well. Much love for my vegan friends.

While this rub was designed for grilling chicken, pork and beef, it works great for vegetable kebabs or veggie burgers on the grill too. Technically, you could use this coffee rub for baking and pan frying too, but we don’t want to think about cooking inside while it’s so nice out.

My personal preference on which of our coffees to use is our Dark Roast. But, if you want a less bold flavor, our Morning Blend or Spellbound Espresso will also do the trick.

What you will need. (Obviously if you’d like to make a larger batch, just double or triple everything).

  • 2 Tablespoons of the Dead Sled Coffee of choice
  • 2 Tablespoons of paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons of garlic (I use 3)
  • 2 Tablespoons of onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon of cumin
  • 1 Tablespoon of salt
  • 1 Tablespoon of brown sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons of cayenne pepper (for that extra kick)

Simply add of these ingredients into a bowl and mix well. What’s great about recipes such as this is that you can play with amounts and/or the ingredients and make it your own. This is just to give a base idea on how to start. Make your own, make it awesome!

Be sure to store your rub in a cool and dry place.

Until the next recipe. Happy grilling!
