If you’re trying to spice up your coffee, here’s 5 alcoholic coffee recipes that will turn that frown upside down. A big misconception is that coffee is only for waking up in the mornings. In today’s world, coffee is used for numerous things including cooking, baking, and in this case, drinking.
- 2 oz. premium quality vodka
- 1 oz. Mourning Blend Coffee
- 1 oz. Milk
- 3 coffee beans for garnishing
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a glass. Garnish with the three coffee beans.
2. Mourning Rooster
- 1 1/2 oz. Espolon Tequila Reposado
- 1/2 oz. coffee liqueur
- 8 oz. Mourning Blend Coffee
- 2 tbsp. agave nectar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Grated nutmeg for garnishing
Combine agave nectar, heavy cream and vanilla extract in a bowl and stir until firm. Combine tequila, coffee liqueur and the Mourning Blend Coffee in a cup. Top with cream. Garnish with your grated nutmeg.
- 1/2 oz. Vanilla Vodka
- 1/2 oz. Frangelisco
- 8 oz. Mourning Blend Coffee
- Whipped cream and a raspberry for garnishing
Combine Vodka, Frangelico, and coffee in a glass and stir. Garnish with whipped cream and a raspberry.
4. Haute & Steamy
- 1 1/2 oz. Godiva Chocolate Infused Vodka
- 8 oz. Mourning Blend Coffee
- Whipped cream and caramel for your garnish
Combine coffee and vodka in a glass and stir. Garnish with a scoop of whipped cream and caramel sauce.
5. Gingerbread Irish Coffee
- 2 oz. Baileys Original Irish Cream
- 4 oz. Mourning Blend Coffee
- 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
- Whipped cream for garnishing
Combine Irish cream and pumpkin pie spice in a mug. Pour in coffee and stir. Garnish with your whipped cream.
